The African Music and Cultural Festival (AMCF) is the largest African Festival in Australia in its 10th year, involving over 35 African communities and attracting over 40,000 people. It is a FREE family-friendly event open to all Victorians and visitors to experience vibrant music, arts and cultural performances of African heritage to promote cross-cultural awareness as well as foster intercultural relationships, community contributions, mutual respect, understanding and community unity in Victoria.

Shifts: 10am-2pm, 2pm-6pm, 6pm-10pm
Location: Federation Square, Melbourne
We will need your help in the following areas:
- Information desk/customer service
- Packing and distribution of festival bags and flyers
- Main square crowd control/ushering
- Stage area/ green room/timekeeper
- Food and market stall/ushering
- Arts Hub
The African Music and Cultural Festival last year welcomed over 40,000 people and was a wonderful celebration of harmony, respect, unity, and of course African culture. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in this exciting event, work in a team environment, get involved with the African Australian community, learn and/or develop event and customer skills.
